sounds of rain on the rooftop
after loading a friends possesions
into a rented moving van
gives a sense of relief
that i don't have to be there
to help unload it all

I feel the touches of soreness
in muscles not regularly used
reminding me of the days toil
and of moves i have made
how it feels to start anew
i have to wonder is it time to move on

my feet have been feeling itchy
a restlessness is in my soul
i've been too long in one place
though i know i'm needed here
theres new ground to be covered
and other places to be explored

the grass is always greener
anywhere but where i am
and the road is always calling
theres a new place just up the way
i guess i'm just a rolling stone
with moss instead of roots
